2. Check the system before lowering the camera

Clean and dry the system according to its instructions, keeping the limitations of the monitor separate from those of the underwater housing. Store cable without crushing it or creating tight bends. For a recording model, copy any footage you want to keep before your next session.

Will a longer cable improve image clarity?

No. It changes the available placement range. Water clarity, the lens and the distance to the subject still determine whether the view is useful.

Can I submerge the display as well as the camera?
